Hosting Images with PicPerf
If you want the convenience of being able to upload & run with an optimized image, you can host everything with PicPerf. No other tools needed. Assuming you’ve already created an account, the feature is available right from the get-go. Just head to the “Hosted Images” tab in the admin:
The moment you upload an image, it’ll be optimized and made ready for use on your site. The original version will never be altered, and you’re free to download the original image again at any time:
Clicking the “copy link” button will give you the URL you should use on your site. It’ll always start with https://picperf.io/img, followed by the file name:
https://picperf.io/img/4CAF9H/503736ee-bb1e-49a5-b60a-f18f7100c266.jpg
URL-based transformations will work just the same as an image hosted elsewhere.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”You’re not charged for the images you hosted with PicPerf. Cost is always based on the number of unique images searched each month. For hosted images, that’s $.02/unique image, and that’s only after the first 500 unique images requested. To explore what it might cost you, see the pricing calculator.
