Image Saver Privacy Policy

This policy covers the PicPerf Image Saver Chrome extension (“the extension”). The extension is free. No account. No ads.

What the extension does

The extension converts images locally in your browser when possible (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL).

Some conversions — including GIF and some animated sources — are sent to PicPerf’s converter at https://picperf.io/convert for processing. Files sent there are processed only for the conversion and are not stored.

Permissions

Section titled “Permissions”

The extension requests:

  • contextMenus — to add the right-click save menu.
  • downloads — to save the converted file to your device.
  • activeTab and scripting — to read the image you right-clicked so it can be converted.
  • storage — to remember that you dismissed the rating prompt, so it is only shown once.
